Why do I need to add a card?
Some businesses ask for a card when you book, even if you're paying at the salon. This protects them if you cancel late or don't turn up. Your card is only charged if:
- you choose to pay now, or pay a deposit, or
- a late cancellation or no-show fee applies under the policy you agreed to.
Your card is stored securely with Stripe. The business never sees your full card number.
Add a card while booking
- 1At checkout, choose Add card.
- 2Enter your details and save.
- 3You'll go straight back to your booking with that card selected.
If you have more than one card, pick the one for this booking. It won't change your default card. Expired cards can't be used, so swap them for a new one in checkout.
Deposits
Some services need a deposit when you book. You pay the rest at your appointment, unless you've paid in full.
Cancellation and no-show fees
Each business sets its own policy and shows it at checkout before you confirm. If you cancel inside the notice period, or the business marks you as a no-show, the fee can be charged to the card you chose for that booking.
Manage your saved cards
