How the free trial works

A new business gets a 30-day free trial of the plan chosen at signup. In the UK, Cobbtree One is £14.49 a month plus VAT after the trial. Your plan page shows the price for your currency.

Nothing is charged during the trial. The trial ends the day a card payment for the plan is received, or on the trial end date if you do not pay.

During your trial

You can set up the business, add services and team members, and take bookings. A bar at the top of Cobbtree for Business shows the plan name and how many days are left, with a link to Billing.

On Settings → Subscriptions, the plan shows Free trial ends on and the date. Open the plan and it is marked On free trial.

Add a card

The card that pays for Cobbtree is separate from the Stripe account that takes money from your clients.

   Go to Settings → Billing, then Payment methods.

   If there is no card yet, select Set up now and save a card.

   If a card is already there, select Update to replace it. The button on the form is Update card or Save card.

You can remove the card later with Remove. That does not cancel the plan.

Activate before the trial ends

Activating starts the paid plan immediately. The free trial ends that day.

   Open the plan from Settings → Subscriptions.

   Select Activate plan on the banner, or open Options and select Activate plan.

   If there is no card on file, Cobbtree takes you to billing setup first.

   Check the plan price, VAT and Total today, then select Pay … and activate.

When payment is received, the plan becomes a paying subscription and renews one month later. If payment is not received, the trial stays in place.

Choosing a different plan also ends the trial that day. See Choose or change your plan.

When the trial ends

A banner at the top of Cobbtree for Business tells you what happens next, with a Choose a plan button.

If no plan is chosen, the workspace closes. The screen says Your free trial has ended. Your clients, bookings and settings are saved, and clients can still book online. Select Pick a plan to pay and open the workspace again. Billing and support stay available so you can do that.

If you are not allowed to change billing, the screen asks you to get the business owner to update it.

Cancel during the trial

   Go to Settings → Subscriptions.

   Open Actions and select Cancel plan. You can also do this from Options on the plan page.

   Tell Cobbtree why, then confirm.

You keep the workspace until the trial end date. To withdraw the cancellation before then, open Actions and select Keep plan.
